Responsibilities:

  • Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and prepare corporate tax returns.
  • Correspondence with clients and tax authorities.
  • Prepare personal tax returns and information returns, as required.
  • Lead and supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
  • Perform complex reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
  • Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and standards, implementing necessary updates.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation
  • 2 to 3 years of public accounting with a focus on medium-sized clients.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
