Job Summary:

We are looking for a Structural Engineer with expertise in High-Voltage Substation background to play a critical role in designing and analyzing the structural components of high-voltage substations.

Your responsibilities will include ensuring the safety, stability, and compliance of the substations with relevant industry standards and codes.
You will be instrumental in providing innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges and enhancing the resilience and performance of critical electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities: Your responsibilities will include leading the design and analysis of structural components in high-voltage substations, including foundations, support structures, gantries, bus structures, and control buildings.
You will ensure that all designs adhere to national and international building codes, electrical industry standards, and safety regulations relevant to high-voltage substations.
You will conduct site assessments to evaluate the suitability of locations for new substations, taking into account geological conditions and environmental factors.
You will perform detailed engineering calculations to ensure the structural integrity of substation components. You will continuously seek opportunities to optimize substation designs, considering cost-effectiveness, constructability, and long-term performance.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate projects, ensuring timely delivery, and providing technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
You will identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in substation structures and propose mitigation strategies to enhance safety and resilience.
You will offer technical expertise and guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders on structural matters related to high-voltage substations. You will stay updated with the latest advancements in substation structural engineering and contribute to research initiatives to improve industry practices.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred. You should have a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
You should have a minimum of 7 years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on high-voltage substations.
You should be proficient in structural analysis software, such as ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAP2000, etc.
You should have a solid understanding of national and international building codes and industry standards related to substations (e.g., IEEE, IEC, ASCE, NESC).
Experience with 3D modeling and Building Information Modeling (BIM) is advantageous.
You should have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. You should have excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You should have proven project management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
