Job Description:
The following are the duties and responsibilities:
- Providing excellent advice and planning for cross-border structures and ensuring compliance
- Being a key contributor to a new US Tax group, and contributing to tax planning and client management initiatives - Offering both technical and project management support on US Personal and Corporate Tax projects
- Researching, interpreting tax legislation, formulating solutions and providing suggestions
- Identifying and recommending creative solutions to tax issues
- Bringing to the attention of the Manager or Tax Partner any significant issues or findings, along with recommendations. Discussing matters with the Assurance Partner if required.
- Acting as a Development Advisor to specific US tax staff, providing support and development if deemed appropriate - Preparing all types of US tax returns
- Providing assistance to other offices of the Firm as required Education, Experience and Credentials:
- Must be a graduate of a University Accounting Program or have an equivalent degree
- Must have a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation
- Must have 3-5 years of work experience with US Taxation Knowledge Requirements:
- Must have a thorough understanding of the Internal Revenue Code - Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, CaseWare, CaseView, Doc.It and Taxprep.
