Join a dynamic personal injury litigation and trial practice, where you will work alongside one of California’s top trial attorneys and an experienced legal team. This position offers the opportunity to manage a caseload, litigate cases, participate in depositions and mediations, and gain trial experience in a collaborative and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 30-40 personal injury cases, acting as lead attorney from filing through trial.
- Develop case strategies and legal theories to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Take and defend depositions, including those of plaintiffs, defendants, and expert witnesses.
- Engage in settlement negotiations and mediation efforts.
- Act as second chair in trials, supporting and learning from an experienced trial lawyer.
- Maintain regular client communication to provide updates and guidance throughout the litigation process.
- Oversee and direct support staff, including paralegals, to ensure effective case management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in plaintiff personal injury litigation (trial experience highly desired).
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload and resolve high-value cases effectively.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- A client-focused approach with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
