A medical food company is looking for a Senior Food Scientist to join their Product Development team.
They need someone who is self-starting, independent, detail-oriented, and innovative.
The Senior Food Scientist will play a crucial role in bringing exciting new products to market and improving existing ones.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in protein application in beverages, with specific knowledge related to aseptic, liquid, plant-based nutritional beverages.
The Senior Scientist will be responsible for independently developing experimental designs leading to confirmed stability and label claims across shelf life.
They will evaluate sensory profiles of products, both internally and externally, to ensure the formulation conforms to customer expectations.
Additionally, they will troubleshoot formula/process design failures and qualify ingredient substitutions and optimizations.
Qualifications for this position include
5 years of beverage product development, progressive leadership experience, and a Bachelor's Degree.
The company offers a range of benefits, including PTO of 3 weeks and an additional 2 weeks of refresh weeks, 2 floating holidays, 401k match, and the company covers 80% of insurance costs. They also provide an annual education reimbursement.
