Manager of Operations - Radiology (Days)
The Manager of Operations - Radiology will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Radiology department. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of Radiology operations and best practices. The Manager of Operations will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and optimal departmental efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Radiology department, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure adherence to established quality and safety standards, including regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Radiologists, Technologists, and other healthcare professionals to maintain effective and efficient Radiology services.
- Monitor and analyze department performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies and processes.
- Develop and manage the department budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
- Implement and maintain policies and procedures to support efficient and effective departmental operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging technologies in Radiology, implementing relevant innovations as appropriate.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care within the department.
- Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Radiology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Radiology operations, including imaging modalities, protocols, and quality control.
- Experience with Radiology information systems and PACS.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage staff.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
- Flexibility to work day shifts, as well as occasional evenings or weekends as necessary.
Additionally, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mobile field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
- Must possess and maintain valid State Rad Tech/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certification.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Must be willing to travel up to 50% within the service area.
