Manager/Supervisor

The Manager of Operations - Radiology will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the Radiology department. This role requires strong leadership skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of Radiology operations and best practices. The Manager of Operations will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and optimal departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Radiology department, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow optimization.
  • Ensure adherence to established quality and safety standards, including regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with Radiologists, Technologists, and other healthcare professionals to maintain effective and efficient Radiology services.
  • Monitor and analyze department performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies and processes.
  • Develop and manage the department budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective utilization of resources.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate staff, providing ongoing coaching and development opportunities.
  • Implement and maintain policies and procedures to support efficient and effective departmental operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and emerging technologies in Radiology, implementing relevant innovations as appropriate.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care within the department.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Radiology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of Radiology operations, including imaging modalities, protocols, and quality control.
  • Experience with Radiology information systems and PACS.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and engage staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts, as well as occasional evenings or weekends as necessary.

Additionally, the candidate must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mobile field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Must possess and maintain valid State Rad Tech/CRT and ARRT, ARDMS/CCI certification.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% within the service area.
