As the Plant Manager, the primary responsibility is to oversee and optimize all facets of Chevre production, ensuring product safety, quality, consistency, and adherence to standardized production processes. This role entails leading a culture of employee engagement, continuous improvement, and accountability.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Employee Engagement and Ownership:
-Cultivate a culture of engagement, ownership, continuous improvement, and learning among the production team.

Metrics Development and Results-Driven Approach:
- Collaborate with the Plant General Manager to develop plant metrics in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.
- Drive results against key performance indicators in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and employee development.

Daily Operations Management:
- Oversee daily Chevre operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
- Implement and manage safety programs in compliance with company expectations and regulatory requirements.

Lean Improvement and Cost Reduction:
- Lead efforts to optimize organizational efficiency, labor efficiency, and reduce cost per pound.
- Focus on shrink reduction to maximize profitability.

Audit and Compliance Management:
- Assign audits and organize production programs to maintain audit-ready standards daily.
- Ensure compliance with FMO/FDA regulations and maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements.

Project Management and Expansion:
- Play an active role in Chevre production projects, new equipment implementation, and expansion initiatives.

Production Coordination and Standardization:
- Coordinate standard work for all production runs, detailing each step in Chevre make and packaging procedures for accurate, consistent, safe, and quality products.

Cheese Manufacturing Expertise:
-Possess knowledge of the cheese manufacturing process, food safety controls, and sanitation programs.
Qualifications

1. Proven Leadership Experience: A track record of five years leading departments with over 20 employees, demonstrating strong and effective leadership skills.

2. Expertise in Cheese Manufacturing: Possession of a robust understanding and knowledge of cheese manufacturing processes, highlighting a comprehensive grasp of the intricacies involved.

3. Leadership Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large teams, showcasing proven, strong leadership skills that contribute to the success of the department.
