Director of Surgical Services - Nursing
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to meet patient needs.
Provide strong leadership and direction to clinical staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Oversee departmental budgets to ensure efficient and effective resource allocation.
Supervise shift management, maintaining adequate staffing levels and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance surgical and hospice care services.
Monitor quality assurance metrics and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
Proven leadership experience, including managing healthcare teams.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
Minimum of two years’ supervisory experience in a surgical service line within an acute care hospital, completed within the last five years.
Strong familiarity with operating room (OR) and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) settings is highly desirable.
