The Aircraft Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of aircraft by performing various maintenance tasks and adhering to regulatory compliance standards. Reporting to the Crew Chief, this technician follows established workflows and priorities to maintain aircraft in accordance with the General Operating Manual (GOM) and General Maintenance Manual (GMM).

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Receives work assignments from the Crew Chief and carries them out efficiently.

Conducts all maintenance operations in strict compliance with Company policies, FAA regulations, and upholds the highest standards of workmanship.

Manages parts procurement, verifying part authenticity, ensuring proper documentation, overseeing shipping/receiving, and maintaining inventory.

May be required to travel on flights to provide essential maintenance support.

Must be prepared for rapid response and deployment to address Aircraft on Ground (AOG) maintenance needs.

Performs both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, including pre and post-flight inspections.

Conducts inspections and maintenance of hangar/shop facilities as required.

Handles hazardous materials (fuel/oils/batteries, etc.) safely and disposes of them properly, while ensuring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.

Learns to utilize the Company Computerized Maintenance Program (CAMP) to assess current aircraft status.

Maintains meticulous documentation of all maintenance activities performed on company aircraft.

Meets all in-house training requirements to enhance skills and knowledge.

Keeps company Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in proper working order as directed.

Actively participates in safety meetings and other departmental meetings as requested by the Crew Chief, Aircraft Fleet Manager, or Director of Maintenance.

Performs any additional duties as assigned by the Crew Chief.

Requirements

1. A&P Certificate: Possession of a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.

2. (2+ Years Experience): Demonstrated experience in the aviation field, with a minimum of 2 years.

3. Local or Willing to Relocate: Reside in or be willing to relocate to the East Bay Area, specifically Oakland, CA.
