Tax Manager- Business Tax Services
Responsibilities:
• Primary client contact & relationship with assigned clients
• Review of client files and preparation of primarily Individual, Partnership, S-Corp Tax Returns (95% of our business returns are made up of these entities)
• Minor preparation and review of C-Corp, Fiduciary, and Estate tax returns
• May prepare/review payroll and sales tax returns
• Analyze client general ledger, financials, and transactions and be able to provide necessary journal entries
• Quarterly and year-end tax planning for client to minimize overall tax liability including the preparation of estimated tax payments for both individuals and businesses
• Research tax related questions using CCH software and respond to client in timely manner
• Communicate directly with various tax agencies (IRS/FTB)

Qualifications
1. Education Requirement: A degree in Business or Accounting is essential, providing a foundational understanding of business and accounting principles.
2. Licensing Preference: Preferably holds a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) license; alternatively, an Enrolled Agent (E.A.) license is recommended. Support through the licensing process is available.
3. Experience Criteria: Minimum 4-6 years of recent experience in public accounting or relevant tax-related roles.
