Senior Executive
The Senior Superintendent position involves overseeing daily field operations of various construction projects, ranging from small tasks to large-scale institutional and commercial builds. This critical role requires a high level of expertise and experience in managing project schedules and its field operations efficiently. The Senior Superintendent leads a team comprising other Superintendents and in-house staff, focusing on the production side of projects. Key responsibilities include ensuring work quality meets established standards, achieving project milestones within set timeframes and budgets, and maintaining a safe, clean work environment. Leadership qualities are vital in this role to foster a positive, professional work culture, enhance communication, problem-solving, and manage and develop team members.
Scope and Responsibilities: -
Oversee Superintendents, in-house staff, and various subcontractor trades on projects ranging from $5-12 million, from initiation to completion. -
Demonstrate expert knowledge in construction disciplines, understanding construction methods, and managing projects ensuring adherence to best-practice standards. -
Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders, including management levels, subcontractors, and team members. -
Ensure project safety, health standards, and cleanliness. -
Manage project schedules, coordinate short-term planning, and maintain dimensional controls. -
Document quality assurance, ensure contract compliance, and manage project scope changes.
- Oversee project closeout, daily documentation, and staff support functions. -
Engage in professional development and staff mentoring. - Proficient in construction industry software, with current safety certifications and CQC certification by USACE/NAVFAC.
Qualifications
- Either an AS Degree in Construction Management or a minimum of 10 years of related experience is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the commercial or institutional construction industry is mandatory.
- The applicant must have received a COVID Vaccine in the past, which can be from any time and does not require current or follow-up vaccines.
