Manager/Supervisor
Roles and Responsibilities
Individuals must have their CPA license and have a minimum of three to six years of experience as a senior level accountant (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the partners). They have technical proficiency with the ability to supervise complete engagements and effective management of a book of business. They will have five to ten years of overall experience in certified public accounting firms.
Tax Manager I individuals are expected to:
1. Supervise and complete routine engagements.
2. Supervise Tax Associates and Tax Seniors to provide feedback to them and evaluate their progress.
3. Become experts in their assigned areas.
4. Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm.
5. Assist in firm administrative functions as assigned by the partners.
6. Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients.
7. Highly proficient and knowledgeable in the firm’s policy and procedures.
8. Partner’s discretion as to their overall ability and qualities to work effectively at this level.
Requirements
US CPA designation
Minimum 4+ years of US Tax experience: tax research, tax return preparation, tax engagements for corporations, individual, partnerships, estate and trusts
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, MST preferred.
Experience in supervising senior staff
Must be able to work hybrid in the San Diego office
