The following is a job description for an Operations Manager for North America Field Operations.
The candidate should establish processes, procedures, and best practices for running the field operations team to achieve operational excellence. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day company operations, managing all field functions of the field operations team for North America, including delivery, logistics, field operations, and support. The candidate will also manage the customer service operation, final delivery to end customers, installation and onboarding of new customers, and on-going maintenance.
As an Operations Manager, the candidate should establish delivery and support strategies, set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure department logistics objectives and operation requirements are met. The candidate must maintain reliable, timely, efficient, and competitive beekeeping field operations and maintain close working relationships with the company’s wide groups, globally, to provide the product production, support, and services required.
The candidate should also recruit, build, and manage a team of operation experts.
The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in operations roles, field support, freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and logistics, with at least 4 years of experience in building and leading an operations team.
The candidate should have experience at a startup or building a department from the ground up and experience in Ag-tech companies is preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree is required, with specialization in business management or a related field preferred. The candidate should have an emphasis on creativity and out-of-the-box thinking and excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
They should possess outstanding communication and people skills, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be a creative problem solver.
The candidate should also have in-depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles, such as supply chain, finance, customer service, etc., and working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics. High capabilities with MS Office applications and ERP systems are also required.
This role will require up to 50% travel to CA, ID, FL, Dakotas, 

Qualifications
Experience leading field operations in any industry for over 8 years, with a track record of building from the ground up or in a start-up environment.
